Description

TNS7N502 overview

TNS7N502 supports 2*200G/2*100G Programmable Line Service Processing Board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800.

The TNS7N502 board is a hybrid line board and supports a mixture of OTN and SDH services.

The TNS7N502 board processes and converts the received service signals into two OTU4/OTUC2 or one OTUC4 signals. The OTU4/OTUC2 or OTUC4 signals are carried over ITU-T G.694.1-compliant DWDM wavelengths.

The TNS7N502 board uses coherent receiving technologies and applies to coherent systems.

The optional versions of TNS7N502 are TNS2N502, TNS8N502, TNSAN502, TNSDN502.

In 1:3 cross-connect mode, service boards cannot be installed in slots (IU6, IU18) and (IU7, IU19).

NOTE:

The slot ID displayed on the NMS is the ID of the lower one of the two slots occupied by the N502 board in a subrack. For example, when the N502 board occupies slots IU1 and IU13 in a subrack, the slot ID displayed on the NMS is IU1.

Latency measurement The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction).
  • When higher-order ODU4 cross-connections are created on the board, TCM latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the board, PM/TCM latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels, and TCM latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
  • The board supports PM and TCM latency measurement at the ODUCn layer.
NOTE:

When VPs are configured, the board supports measuring the PM/TCM latency of higher-order and lower-order ODUk channels.
