TNG1M520SM01 TNG1M520SM06 Complete substitution The TNG1M520SM06 board can completely substitute for the TNG1M520SM01 board, without any requirement for version upgrade or logical board creation.
TNG1M520S TNG1M520SM Version substitution
  • During board substitution using the version replacement function, the NE where the original board resides does not need to be upgraded.
  • The substitute board can be created as the logical board of the original board on the NMS and replace the original board. The substitute board has only the functions of the original board.
  • During board substitution using the version replacement function, because the original board and substitute board support the same optical modules, the optical modules of the original board can still be used.
  • When a TNG1M520SM board replaces a TNG1M520S board, the TNG1M520SM01 board does not support intra-board 1+1 protection bidirectional switching. When a TNG1M520S board has been configured with bidirectional switching and a TNG1M520SM01 board is used for replacement, the HARD_NONSUPPORT alarm is reported during the replacement, and only the unidirectional switching capability is ensured.
TNG1M520SM TNG1M520S Version substitution
  • During board substitution using the version replacement function, the NE where the original board resides does not need to be upgraded.
  • The substitute board can be created as the logical board of the original board on the NMS and replace the original board. The substitute board has only the functions of the original board.
  • During board substitution using the version replacement function, because the original board and substitute board support the same optical modules, the optical modules of the original board can still be used.
  • The M520S board can substitute for the M520SM board using the version replacement function only in M12 and M05 subracks.
TNG1M520SM06 TNG1M520SM01 Complete substitution
  • The TNG1M520SM06 and TNG1M520SM01 boards can completely substitute for each other, without any requirement for version upgrade or logical board creation.
  • When a TNG1M520SM board replaces a TNG1M520S board, the TNG1M520SM01 board does not support intra-board 1+1 protection bidirectional switching. When a TNG1M520S board has been configured with bidirectional switching and a TNG1M520SM01 board is used for replacement, the HARD_NONSUPPORT alarm is reported during the replacement, and only the unidirectional switching capability is ensured.
