Description

NP200/NP200E overview

Huawei OSN1800V 1x100G Turbo WDM Line Service Processing Board, extend to 200G/1*100G Turbo WDM Line Service Processing Extended Board.

The NP200 board and NP200E board are PID boards. The NP200 board can be independently used in a 100G system or work with the NP200E board in a 200G system. The NP200E board must work with the NP200 board in a 200G system.

The TNF6NP200/TNF6NP200E board supports the mixed transmission of OTN and SDH services. The TNZ5NP200 and TNZ5NP200E board supports hybrid transmission of OTN, SDH and packet services. It supports Layer 2 switching, MPLS-TP, and OTN interfaces.

The NP200 and NP200E boards consist of the following similar modules: signal processing module, PID optical module, control and communication module, and power module. The difference is that the NP200 board has an OADM optical module.

Basic function

NP200/NP200E:

  • 80 x ODU0/80 x ODUflex/40 x ODU1/10 x ODU2/10 x ODU2e/2 x ODU3/1 x ODU4<->1 x OTU4
  • Supports mixed transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODUflex, ODU2 and ODU2e signals.
NOTE:

Only TNZ5NP200/TNZ5NP200E board supports ODU3.

NP200:

  • Multiplexes and demultiplexes two optical signals. That is, the NP200 board receives one OTU4 optical signal from the NP200E board and converts its own OTU4 optical signal and the received OTU4 optical signal into one multiplexed optical signal.

Cross-connect capabilities

Supports the cross-connection of 80 channels of ODU0/ODUflex signals or 40 channels of ODU1 signals or 10 channels of ODU2/ODU2e signals or 2 chanels of ODU3 signal or one chanel of ODU4 signal between the NP200/NP200E and the cross-connect board.

NOTE:

Only TNZ5NP200/TNZ5NP200E board supports ODU3.

OTN function

  • Supports the OTU4 interface on the WDM side.
  • Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing by referring to the ITU-T G.709.
  • OTU4 layer: supports the SM function.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports the PM and TCM function, and PM and TCM non-intrusive monitoring functions.
NOTE:

Only TNZ5NP200/TNZ5NP200E board supports ODU3.

Over-temperature protection

If the temperature of a board exceeds the upper threshold and services are affected, the board will automatically reset the key chips to prevent a board damage.

NOTE:

The total bandwidth of channel inloops on the TNZ5NP200/TNZ5NP200E board must not exceed 40G.
