Problem description
Recently, one of our customers had an NE40E-X3A device with abnormal power supply that displayed an alarm. The power supply was restored after plugging and unplugging. After investigation, it was found that a known bug was triggered. The problem can be solved by updating the patch.
The device version information is as follows:
Device: NE40E-X3A
Version: V800R012C10SPC300. No patch.
Alarm information
The device alarm information is as follows:
Device power POWER 8 is abnormal, but device power POWER9 is normal.
Processing process
1: Check that the PEM power supply light is always green.
2: Plug in and out the external power cord, and plug in and out the slot 8 module of the whole machine.
3: After plugging in and out, re-query the alarm and voltage and current information.
After plugging and unplugging, the alarm disappears, and the voltage and current of slot 8 are restored. It can be found that the power of slot 9 has not changed, indicating that there is no abnormality in the power supply before slot 8, but the voltage and current monitoring are abnormal, which leads to the alarm.
Root cause
Known issue: Improper initialization configuration of X3A AC equipment leads to false detection of no power input status.
Solution
1: This problem can be solved by plugging and unplugging the board, but since this problem is a software bug, it is recommended to upgrade the patch in time.
2: Upgrade the software patch package.
Suggestions and summary
