Issue Description
There is nothing connected by LAN or WIFI and the equipment MA5800-X17 is consuming approx 12007 kbps:
OLT model and version:
Handling Process
Query the traffic of the ONT. The downstream traffic sent to the ONT is about 12000 kbps
Query the traffic of the service flow. It is found that the downstream traffic is equivalent to the traffic of the ONT.
Capture packets on service flows. The downstream traffic is unicast packets sent by the MAC address –91bf and vlan 157.
Query the MAC address 91bf information on the device. It is found that the MAC address is 0/10/0 and has multiple VLANs
Query the DMAC 9b6f the captured packets on the service flow,at the device does not learn the MAC address. The unknown unicast packets are converted into broadcast packets and broadcast in the same VLAN. Therefore, the packets are broadcast to the service flow and then to the ONT.
Root Cause
Many unknown unicast packets with MAC address 91bf are sent from upstream port 0/10/0. The packets are broadcast and forwarded to VLAN 157. As a result, traffic is transmitted on the ONT.
Solution
The MAC address –91bf sends many VLANs packets from the upstream port. It is recommended that customer check the device on his network side.
