Description

TNF5SLNO overview

TNF5SLNO 4*STM-16 port, 8* STM-4 port, or 8*STM-1 port line board applied to Huawei OSN 1800V.

The SLNO optical interface board is a TDM board, which can be used on the OSN equipment to receive and transmit eight STM-4/STM-1 optical signals, or four STM-16 optical signals, or two STM-16 and four STM-4/STM-1 optical signals. The SLNO board converts the received optical signals into electrical signals and sends the electrical signals to the cross-connect side. In addition, the SLNO board converts the electrical signals from the cross-connect side into optical signals and transmits the optical signals.

The SLNO receives/transmits STM-16/STM-4/STM-1 optical signals, performs O/E conversion for STM-16/STM-4/STM-1 optical signals, extracts and inserts overhead bytes, and reports alarms generated on the line.

  • Electrical ports: STM-1 ports support SFP electrical modules. One SLNO board supports only four electrical ports. If the STM-1 electrical module is installed in a port, no electrical or optical modules can be installed in its adjacent ports.
  • The characteristics of all optical ports comply with ITU-T G.957.

  • STM-1 optical ports support single-fiber, bidirectional, pluggable optical modules that provide transmission spans of 15 km and 40 km.
  • STM-4 optical ports support single-fiber, bidirectional, pluggable optical modules that provide transmission spans of 10 km and 40 km.
  • STM-16 optical ports support single-fiber, bidirectional, pluggable optical modules that provide a transmission span of 15 km and 40 km.
  • SFP optical modules support hot swapping.
  • Allows setting the on/off state of a laser and supports the automatic laser shutdown (ALS) function.
